Day 7 – The King

Today we traveled out of the city to the Little Rann of Kutch which is a rural desert region in northern Gujarat.  On the bus we were told by our guide Neyate that we would be staying at a palace. I had no idea what to expect, Jambugoda palace wasn’t as flashy as you would expect but the property was beautiful. We got into the compound in the late afternoon which gave us enough time to swim before dinner. Ads we were heading to dinner we were ushered in from the courtyard to meet with King Vikramsink who talked to us about the history of his people and the India’s shift into the democracy that it is today.
